Thorns During the festive season here at Feedo Needo, we not only wanted to celebrate this joyous time of the year but also give back to the community which we achieved through the distribution of our Christmas treat boxes at our Birmingham foodbank. For the first time, our team built a make shift Santa's grotto where our treat boxes filled with items such as; mince pies, biscuits, Christmas crackers, winter gloves and much more were handed out by our Feedo Needo Santa along with the usual food parcels, as an extra gift of goodwill. We also had the pleasure of welcoming our guests to this Christmas event including Dr Andrew, a local Birmingham Councilor, who visited our food bank for the first time to understand more about our project and why our mission to support the community is so important. Amongst the list of guests who graced us with their presence, were Dr Jamila Shahid and her team who so generously donated essential items to be used for distribution at the food bank to over 100 regular service users on a daily basis. Our partners at McQueen Dairies regularly volunteer every week at Feedo Needo by donating dairy products and helping with the packing of food parcels- they were also kind enough to support our Christmas grotto by dressing up as Santa and donating gifts to our patrons. Our team spirit is what has led us to prosper in our mission of serving a greater purpose to the wider community, we are grateful to our partners, supporters, donators, and the wonderful team here at Feedo Needo for their continuous hard work and their efforts in celebrating Christmas 2021.
